Westgate and New Market Covid-19 News
8th Jan 2021
08 January 2021 – A team member, who works as a Trainee Manager at Food Lover’s Market Westgate and Food Lover’s Market New Market, has tested positive for Covid-19. She was last in the Food Lover’s Market Westgate store on Sunday, 03 January 2021 and at the Food Lover’s Market New Market store on Tuesday, 05 January 2021 – five and three days ago respectively. This team member called in to let us know that she is feeling unwell. She consequently had herself tested on Thursday, 07 January 2021. We were formally advised today of the positive test result.
This team member had no close contacts.
A professional cleaning company conducted a deep clean and sanitization of both stores yesterday, (Thursday, 07 January 2021) – on the day our colleague was tested for Covid-19. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team members were last in the store.
We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming her back to our stores.
We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitizing hands and surfaces, practicing social distancing and wearing masks.
As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by government, Food Lover’s Market Westgate and Food Lover’s Market New Market are both open and we look forward to welcoming you back to these stores.
