On 8 June, staff from FLM Bruma store visited the Salvation Army’s Strathyre Home for Girls. When they got there, they were given a warm welcome by the girls through prayer and song. We started the day with them by preparing lunch of hot dogs and cool drinks, which were served to the girls.
According to Mirriam Mataboge, Admin Manager at Bruma, “We had such great fun that day by challenging the girls to a netball game, which they won because they’re so much younger and quicker.
After this we handed out some toiletry hampers, chocolates and toys. We are humbled by this whole experience as the children were either abandoned by their parents or come from abusive homes, so they really appreciative the care and love we shared with them”.
