INTRODUCTION
1.1 These Terms and Conditions (“T&Cs”) govern the participation of Absa rewards members (“Members”) in earning and redeeming Absa rewards when shopping at Food Lover’s Market retail outlets in South Africa.
1.2 By participating in the Absa Rewards programme, Members confirm their acceptance of and agreement to comply with these T&Cs in addition to the Absa Rewards programme terms, conditions and programme rules. -
REWARDS OFFER
2.1 Members who shop at any Food Lover’s Market store within South Africa from 1 December 2025 onwards, can earn up to 30% real cash back (“Real Cash Back”), depending on their rewards tier (as defined in the Absa Rewards programme terms, available at the following link: Absa | Get cash back in your pocket with Absa Rewards).

ELIGIBILITY
3.1 To earn Real Cash Back, customers must –
3.1.1 Be registered Members of the Absa Rewards programme; and
3.1.2 Transact at any Food Lover’s Market store within South Africa.
3.2 Real Cash Back will only be earned on purchases made at Food Lover’s Market stores within South Africa. Purchases made at any other Food Lover’s Market group retail outlets are excluded from the Absa Rewards programme. For the avoidance of doubt, purchases made at FreshStop, Seattle Coffee Company, Market Liquors and VetsMart are excluded from the Absa Rewards programme.
3.3 The rate and structure of earning Real Cash Back are subject to the official Absa Rewards programme rules, as set out on the Absa Rewards website. 3.4 The reward payout of Real Cash Back is subject to the official Absa Rewards programme rules, as set out on the Absa Rewards website. ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT
4.1 Members can manage their Absa Rewards accounts, view balances, and track activity via Absa Bank’s online platforms, including –
4.1.1 Absa Internet Banking;
4.1.2 The Absa Rewards tile on the Absa Bank Banking App; and/ or
4.1.3 Absa Rewards website. -
PROGRAMME CHANGES AND TERMINATION
5.1 Absa Bank reserves the right to amend, suspend, or terminate the Absa Rewards programme at any time, without prior notice.
5.2 In the event of any such change or termination, the Food Lover’s Market Group will not be liable for any loss, damage, or inconvenience caused to Members. -
LIABILITY
6.1 The Food Lover’s Market Group shall not be held liable for –
6.1.1 any direct or indirect loss or damage resulting from participation in the Absa Rewards programme;
6.1.2 unauthorised access to or fraudulent use of a Member’s Absa Rewards account; and
6.1.3 technical failures that prevent the accrual or redemption of Rewards. -
GENERAL
7.1 Acceptance of these T&C’s. By transacting at any Food Lover’s Market stores within South Africa as an Absa Rewards Member, the customer acknowledges and accepts –
7.1.1 These T&C’s, and
7.1.2 The official Absa Rewards terms, conditions and/or programme rules available at: Absa | Get cash back in your pocket with Absa Rewards and https://www.absa.co.za/personal/bank/absa-rewards/cash-rewards-from-partners/earn-partners/food-lovers-market/.
7.2 Amendment to these T&C’s. The Food Lover’s Market Group may in its sole discretion amend these T&C’s at any time
7.3 Force majeure. No party will be responsible for any breach of these T&C’s caused by circumstances beyond its control.
7.4 Governing laws. South African laws govern these T&C’s.
7.5 Provisions Severable. All provisions and the various clauses of these T&C’s are, notwithstanding the manner in which they have been grouped together or linked grammatically, severable from each other. Any provision or clause of these T&C’s which is or becomes unenforceable in any jurisdiction, whether due to voidness, invalidity, illegality, unlawfulness or for any other reason whatever, shall, in such jurisdiction only and only to the extent that it is so unenforceable, be treated as pro non scripto and the remaining provisions and clauses of these T&C’s shall remain of full force and effect. The parties declare that it is their intention that these T&C’s would be executed without such unenforceable provision if they were aware of such unenforceability at the time of execution hereof.
7.6 Continuing Effectiveness of Certain Provisions. The expiration or termination of these T&C’s shall not affect such of the provisions of these T&C’s as expressly provide that they will operate after any such expiration or termination or which of necessity must continue to have effect after such expiration or termination, notwithstanding that the clauses themselves do not expressly provide for this.
