250 ml (1 cup) CarbSmart Lemon & Herb sauce
125 ml (1/2 cup) CarbSmart Peri-Peri sauce
Zest and juice of 1 lemon
60 ml (1/4 cup) honey
5 ml (1 tsp) garlic powder
5 ml (1 tsp) salt
5 ml (1 tsp) Italian herbs
Black pepper, to taste
6 chicken fillets, pounded to even thickness
Whisk together CarbSmart sauces, lemon zest and juice, honey, garlic powder, salt, Italian herbs and black pepper.
Marinate the chicken in the sauce for at least 1 hour or overnight.
Remove the chicken from the marinade and fry on a high heat on a griddle pan for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until nicely charred and cooked.
Place the remainder of the sauce in a saucepan and cook on a medium heat until slightly thickened.
Serve the grilled chicken with the sauce, some lemon wedges and fresh basil to garnish.
