These homemade Buttery Cheese Crackers are a savoury and delicious snack that you won’t be able to resist! Made with a combination of matured cheddar, parmesan, and a touch of paprika, these crackers have a rich, cheesy flavour that pairs perfectly with your favourite dip or spread. And with a buttery, melt-in-your-mouth texture, they’re sure to become a new favourite in your snack rotation.
Put the cheese, butter, flour, salt and paprika in a food processor and pulse until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
Add the cream and pulse again until everything comes together and forms a dough.
Remove the dough from the food processor and shape into a disk shape.
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for an hour.
Preheat your oven to 180°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper and non-stick spray.
Lightly dust a clean surface with flour and roll the dough out into a rectangle of about 5mm thick. The thinner the dough, the crunchier the crackers will be.
Even out the edges and place the rolled-out dough onto the prepared baking sheet and score the dough with a pizza cutter into 4cm squares.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and allow to cool.
Break the crackers along the scored lines and enjoy. We recommend pairing them with a delicious tomato soup.
