butter, softened
freshly ground black pepper
Fairview Brie, or similar
Beurre Bosch Pears
small French loaf/baguette
Mix together the softened butter with black pepper, to taste.
Cut bread slices on the diagonal so that you get a large surface area for topping.
Peel and core the pear/s, slice into thin wedges.
Slice the Brie.
Lightly toast the bread on both sides.
Spread a thick layer of butter on each slice; top with pear slices and complete with Brie slices.
Place slices under a hot grill and allow the Brie to melt and brown slightly.
Remove from grill and serve immediately.
