When stepping into a Food Lover’s Market store, one cannot help but be captivated by our beautiful chalkboard signs. Signwriting has been an integral part of our identity and store experience ever since our first opening. These displays are the result of the skill and dedication of the signwriters at Food Lover’s.
Food Lover’s is committed to further developing the skills of our signwriters through our first Food Lover’s Market Signwriting Academy workshop. This three-day event, led by renowned artist Jade Duvill, brought together 12 signwriters from our Western Cape stores to our Head Office. The signwriters were allowed to learn new skills, share their knowledge, and be taken out of their comfort zones to try something new. From colouring & black and white drawing to shading and lettering techniques. The Academy also serves as a platform where our signwriters can connect to form a community, where creativity and the sharing of ideas are encouraged.
We look forward to rolling out the workshop to all existing and aspiring signwriters within the business in the near future.
