The Khayalethu Youth Centre in Port Elizabeth is proudly supported by our Metlife store. This inspiring organisation is situated just a couple of kilometres away from our store, in a lovely countryside-like environment and is focussed on assisting vulnerable boys who were previously living on the streets of PE. Taking the most vulnerable in our society and providing them with a home and with support means that one day these children can possibly be reunified with their family. As an organisation that prides itself on family values, this speaks straight to the heart of our Food Lovers brand. Jayesh Patel, the manager of the Metlife store knows that providing fresh produce to such an organisation benefits not only those who are nourished by the food, but also society as a whole. If we can ensure that our next generation is not only physically healthy, but truly nurtured while they are young, it’s a win-win for all!
