Be a hero, eat like a hero. A classic ham and cheese sarmie might be coming home uneaten, but what if it’s made into something more fun and heroic? Shape the sarmie into a Marvel-inspired theme, you’ll have to change it up. This recipe shapes the sandwiches into a Captain America shield. Balance the lunch box with fresh little carrots, cucumber and a light dip of choice.
Spread the bread with the mayonnaise, using a large circle cookie cutter cut a circle out of one of the bread slices. Using a small star cutter cut a star from the circle you just cut out.
To assemble the sandwich, place the cheese slice on the mayo side of the slice with the circle cut out. Followed by the ham, tomato slices and lettuce. Season to taste.
Close the sandwich with the second slice of bread and turn the sandwich around so that the circle is on top and place it in your Marvel On The Go lunch box. Place the small star cut-out in the middle of the circle in the sandwich.
Lunch box fillers:
Place the carrot and cucumber sticks in the lunch box and enjoy your Marvel Superhero lunch at school.
